Alopecia

Scalp Micropigmentation procedure for alopecia can change the course of men and women’s lives. Scalp Micropigmentation does not cure alopecia but instead is an effective way to camouflage its symptoms.

Alopecia is a hair loss disease that affects men, women and children. Alopecia can start with no warning and usually happens to people without being hereditary bald. Some people will get this periodically throughout their life or extreme cases will lose all the hair. There is no cure for Alopecia as of yet but it is known to be an autoimmune disorder that causes the body to attack the hair follicles, there is also a close relation to stress and anxiety disorder as causing Alopecia.

Scalp Micropigmentation can truly help alopecia patients! We usually treat the entire scalp including the areas of healthy hair. This gives the patient piece of mind and comfort if the healthy hair follicles do fall out in the future. This way if the patches change in shape, size or position the coverage of the pigment will be consistent all over the scalp.

Symptoms are not prevented, but they are absolutely concealed as long as the hair is kept shaven. Even if the patches become larger over time, they will still remain covered under the treatment. (However, we can treat the patches of the scalp).

Alopecia Areata – Occurs in patches

Alopecia Totalis – Total hair loss

*Each alopecia procedure is a case-by-case basis to determine the suitability and the level of camouflage that would be needed.
